MELVILLE THOMAS SWANSBURY WAS BORN IN 1957.HE DIED IN 2004.I AM HIS ONLY DAUGHTER.I SPOKE TO DAD AT 8PM THE NIGHT BEFORE AND HE WAS FINE.I WAS MEETING HIM THE NEXT DAY AS HE BOUGHT A PRAM FOR MY 6 WEEK OLD BABY.HE LOVED HER DEARLY.HE WAS LAUGHING AND JOKING TO ME ABOUT THE WEATHER AS IT WAS BANK HOLIDAY AND IT WAS HOT.THE FOLLOWING MORNING I RECEIVED NEWS THAT MY DARLING DAD HAD DIED.HE WAS FOUND DEAD IN BED.AFTER A POSTMORTAM EXAMINATION IT WAS FOUND THAT MY DAD HAD SUFFERED A BRAIN HEAMORHAGE.HE DIED IN HIS SLEEP.THATS REASSURING BUT HE WAS ONLY 46YRS.HE LIVED IN ABERGWYNFI PORT-TALBOT AND WENT BY THE NICKNAME BOMBO.HE WAS A ONLY CHILD AND HIS PARENTS HAD DIED.HE WORKED IN THE PITS AS WELSH MEN DO.HE WAS WELL LOVED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM AND RAN A PUB CALLED THE QUEENSBURY.I WAS HIS ONLY DAUGHTER AND I MADE HIM A GRANDAD BEFORE HE DIED.ALTHOUGH IT WAS ONLY 6 WEEKS HE GOT TO KNOW HER HE LOVED HER DEARLY.HE WAS MADE ANOTHER GRANDAD SEP 7TH 2007.I HAD ANOTHER LITTLE GIRL.MY DAD MEANT EVERYTHING TO ME AND I MEANT EVERYTHING TO HIM.I MISS YOU SO MUCH DAD AND LOVE YOU DEARLY

sorry to hear of your tragic loss i lost my dad in 1994 when i was 14 years old he died of a major heart attack i know your pain the pain is still there but it does get easier god bless you all dont let your children ever forget. i talk everyday to my 2 girls about their grandad they are 2 and 3.

Just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I lost my dad 12 years ago to skin cancer, he was just 52. He never got to know his grandchildren well. The feeling of loss never went away for me and I mourn him everyday. My thoughts and best wishes go to you and your family, god bless X X
